Employees of the Almaty State Nature Reserve, together with students from the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized the “Clean Riverbank” environmental campaign along the Talgar River.

🏔️ The Talgar River, which flows through the territory of the Almaty State Nature Reserve, is known for its crystal-clear and clean water. It is especially important for residents living in the lower reaches of the river, as the Talgar River serves as their primary and only source of drinking water.

During the campaign, the riverbanks were cleaned of household waste, and awareness-raising activities on environmental protection were conducted. The purpose of the event was to preserve the cleanliness of water resources, protect the environment, and promote ecological awareness among young people.

As a result:

♻️ 1 ton of waste was collected;

👤 Nearly 200 people participated in the campaign, demonstrating a high level of engagement and environmental responsibility
