On June 18–19, 2026, the International Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Conservation and Sustainable Development of Mountain Ecosystems in Eurasia” was held to mark the 30th anniversary of the Ile-Alatau State National Nature Park.
The event was attended by E.S. Nurakhmetov, Deputy Director of the Almaty State Nature Reserve, M.Zh. Duisebayeva, Biologist of the Science, Information and Monitoring Department, and Zh.A. Begezhanova, Press Secretary.
As part of the conference, the biologist of the Science, Information and Monitoring Department delivered a presentation in Section 1 on the topic: “Growth and Distribution Characteristics of the Sievers Apple Tree (Malus sieversii Ledeb. M. Roem.) within the Territory of the Almaty State Nature Reserve.”
In addition, on June 19, the official opening ceremony of the “Sievers Apple Trail” took place at the Ile-Alatau State National Nature Park.
Following the conference, the speakers were awarded special certificates in recognition of their participation and contributions.
