On 27 July, the Almaty State Nature Reserve hosted an educational event titled “Fire Is the Enemy of Nature: Environmental Education for the Younger Generation,” aimed at fostering environmental awareness and ecological responsibility among children and young people.
During the event, the Reserve's specialists explained the harmful impact of forest and grassland fires on flora, fauna, soil, and ecosystems as a whole. Participants learned about the main causes of wildfires, with particular emphasis on fires resulting from human negligence. They were also reminded of the importance of strictly following fire safety rules while enjoying outdoor recreation.
Through informative discussions and an interactive question-and-answer session, participants expanded their knowledge and gained a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting nature and preventing wildfires.
