On May 30, 2026, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erlan Nysanbayev, visited the Almaty State Nature Reserve as part of a working trip.

During the visit, the Minister met with the reserve’s staff and familiarized himself with their work in the fields of nature conservation, scientific research, and environmental education. Guests were shown a video presentation highlighting the reserve’s activities, and the work of its various departments was also introduced.

Erlan Nysanbayev visited the Nature Museum and explored the exhibitions showcasing the biodiversity of the Northern Tien Shan. Special attention was also given to fire safety issues. The Minister inspected the reserve’s firefighting vehicles and equipment and reviewed its preparedness for the wildfire season.
