Golden adonis (Adonis chrysocyathus) is a rare relict plant species listed in the Red Data Book of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
? In the spring of 2026, researchers from the Scientific Department of the Almaty State Nature Reserve conducted phenological observations of a golden adonis population in the Right Talgar Gorge at an altitude of 2,670 metres above sea level.
During the study, approximately 100 individual plants at different developmental stages were recorded within a 20 × 50 metre study area.
? In the Almaty Nature Reserve, the growing season of golden adonis begins in the second half of April, with peak flowering occurring in May. The flowering period of an individual plant lasts an average of 10–15 days, while the overall flowering period of the population lasts approximately one month.
