“CLEAN KAZAKHSTAN: NATURE IS A NATIONAL HERITAGE”

As part of the series of republican expert roundtable discussions “CLEAN KAZAKHSTAN: NATURE IS A NATIONAL HERITAGE,” dedicated to the development of Kazakhstan’s system of protected areas and organized by the BAYTAQ Green Party of Kazakhstan @baytaq_jasyldar_partiyasy together with the AYALA National Chamber of Hunters and Fishermen @ayalaulttyqpalatasy, the first republican expert roundtable, titled “Conservation Science as the Foundation of Nature Protection,” was held on 24 July 2026 at the Almaty State Nature Reserve @almaty.bioreserve.

The project aims to promote professional dialogue among specialists from national parks, state nature reserves, state natural reserves, research institutions, and representatives of civil society.

The event served as an important platform for discussing current challenges in nature conservation, exchanging professional experience, and developing practical approaches to preserving Kazakhstan’s natural heritage.

Key topics of the agenda included:
? biodiversity conservation;
? development of the protected areas system;
? current issues in nature conservation;
? practical experience of state inspectors;
? scientific monitoring and research;
? combating poaching;
? strengthening environmental education and public awareness;
? sustainable development of hunting and fisheries;
? proposals for improving environmental legislation.

Protecting nature is a shared responsibility. Nature is our national heritage, and preserving it is our responsibility to future generations.
