According to the statement of the Head of State, in 2026 a strategic task was set to transform Kazakhstan into a fully digital country within the next three years. As part of implementing this task, the territory of the Almaty State Nature Reserve has been digitized and a digital map has been developed.
The digital map will allow more efficient management of the territory and improve the system for protecting natural complexes.
Advantages of the digital map:
- precise identification of boundaries and natural features
- convenient navigation for staff, tourists, and mountaineers
- the possibility of оперативе monitoring of ecosystem conditions
- quick access to information about routes and sections of the reserve
Future plans:
In the future, it is planned to digitize the trees of the Sievers apple (Malus sieversii) after the completion of an inventory.
