During the briefing, a representative of the Almaty Regional Territorial Inspection of Forestry and Wildlife, together with the heads of specially protected natural areas and industry experts, provided information on measures to protect the forest fund, prevent wildfires, and the activities being carried out during the fire-hazard season.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that nearly 90% of wildfires are caused by human activity. Therefore, residents and visitors are urged to strictly observe fire safety regulations.
The participants also highlighted measures aimed at preserving unique natural ecosystems within specially protected natural areas, strengthening preventive efforts, enhancing cooperation among government agencies, and ensuring preparedness for the fire-hazard season.
